| On March 31st, the Department of Child Protection and Care under the Ministry of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) opened a portal to support the protection and care of children at http://www.treem.gov.vn .
The portal aims to increase the use of information technology applications in completing the information system and database from the central to local levels on the protection and care of children under the law raising the management efficiency and the quality of policy making, as well as encouraging the protection and care of children across the country. Accordingly, the portal utilises software providing information and statistics under the national program. State of the art multi-media information systems including video and audio recordings will help the audience receive up to date and unbiased information. According to Dang Hoa Nam, Head of the Department of Child Protection and Care, the protection and care of children requires the gathering and dissemination of information and surveys on a large scale and those on paper take too much time. Therefore, the portal will help to increase convenience and interaction between the department and relevant communities, as well as ministries and sectors in sharing information on protecting, caring for children and realising child rights./. |
