The show, which suffers from fewer scandals compared to other shows, including the Vietnamese version of “The Voice”, and arouses the most emotion among audiences, has begun to recruit contestants for the new season.
From today, applications can be submitted on www.soyouthinkyoucandance.com, or directly at the Vietnam Television Center in Can Tho; Hai Phong University in Hai Phong; Hanoi’s Drama Theater; Trung Vuong Theater in Danang; Yasaka Hotel in Nha Trang; and Ben Thanh Theater in Ho Chi Minh City from June 13 to July 4.
According to HCMC Television and Dong Tay Co., the show’s organizer, auditions will be broadcast on three episodes, instead of two like in the first season.
The organizers will put a limit on the number of voting text messages from the first live show to ensure fairness and openness.
The jury consists of choreographer-dancers Chi Anh and Tuyet Minh as the main judges, along with other famed choreographers and dancers including John Huy, Viet Max, Viet Thanh and Quynh Lan.
As in the first season, the final winner’s prize is VND400 mil (US$18,887), but the winners for each week will pocket awards of up to 60% higher value.
The show will air at 9pm every Saturday, starting from Aug 17, on HTV7, VCTV1, DRT, HN1&2, CVTV1 and YanTV.
