HA NOI (VNS)— A senior official of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) has stressed the importance of learning from Japan’s wealth of experience, especially in high-quality human resources training.
To Huy Rua, Politburo member and Head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for Organisation, told a delegation of senior Japanese experts yesterday that Japan’s collaborative work in this field has significantly aided Viet Nam’s process of industrialisation and modernisation.
The Japanese delegation, led by the head of Japan’s Human Resources Development Bureau Yosida Kozo, is on a visit to Viet Nam to co-operate with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration in training managerial staff and improving their capacity.
Kozo confirmed that Japan is dedicated to developing ties with Viet Nam and strengthening the Viet Nam-Japan strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia.
On the same day, the chief representative of Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA) in Viet Nam, Motonori Tsuno, was yesterday presented with a medal for transport sector development.
Tsuno said that he would continue to promote friendly co-operation and investment between Japan and Viet Nam.
The transport ministry and JICA have implemented many important transport projects worth a total of US$5.25 billion. They included the Can Tho Bridge, HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway; projects connecting Ha Noi with Noi Bai International Airport and Lach Huyen Port in Hai Phong Province. — VNS
