BT – According to statistics, Binh Thuan’s export turnover in the first half of 2013 is estimated at USD 115.5 million, a nearly 14% increase compared to the same period last year, realizing 46.2 percent of this year plan. Particularly, export turnover of agricultural products is some USD 23.2 million, an increase of 44.7 percent over the corresponding period of 2012. During the last six months, export of other products also realized USD 59.9 million, up 36 percent over the same period, accounting for 57 percent of the year.
Seafood exports only performed USD 32.36 million, equivalent to 34 percent of the year plan (22 percent less than the same period last year). The main reason of that fall is fluctuation of material price and quantity that caused a lot of difficulties for small businesses.
