City residents flock to Helmet Exchange Program

On June 14, hundreds of residents from Districts 1, 2, 9, Thu Duc, and Binh Thanh flocked to more than ten helmet exchange locations across the City to barter their old helmets for new, safer and stronger ones.

The new helmets are priced from VND90,000 to VND430,000 and offer an exchange refund from VND30,000 to VND165,000 on unlimited quantity .


According to the Traffic Safety Committee in Ho Chi Minh City, under the Helmet Exchange Program 4,000 helmets were exchanged on June 14 with most helmets priced from VND150,000 to VND250,000 per piece.


The Helmet Exchange Program has been organized by the Traffic Safety Committee in joint cooperation with Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Finance, Municipal People’s Committees, and eight helmet producers.


The second Helmet Exchange Program will be carried out from June 21 to 23 in Districts 3, 4, 7, 8, and Nha Be; from June 28 to 30 in Hoc Mon, Cu Chi, and Go Vap Districts; and from July 5 to 7 in Districts 5, 6, 10, 11, Binh Tan, Binh Chanh, and Can Gio.
