Three tourism-focused roadshows will be the highlight out of a series of special events and activities the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board (Tourism Malaysia) in Vietnam will be running this month to embrace the Visit Malaysia Year (VMY) 2014.
The program will start in Hanoi on June 18 at Sheraton Hanoi Hotel, in Ho Chi Minh City on June 20 at New World Saigon Hotel, and in Hoi An on June 22 at Hoi An Hotel. The roadshow in Hoi An will be organized in conjunction with ‘The 5th Quang Nam Heritage Festival 2013′.
The program is the combination of diverse activities including business matching and exchange activities between Malaysian sellers including tour operators, hoteliers, theme parks, corporate entities and leading travel agents and airlines in Vietnam, Mohd Akbal Setia, Director of Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board in Vietnam, said in a statement.
In addition, the product presentations in the program will provide useful information about new tourist attractions and destinations in Malaysia as well as the tourism support policies provided by Malaysia government for Vietnam partners, Setia said.
The program will also introduce business opportunities, trade fairs and exhibitions in Malaysia, he added.
The YMY 2014, with the theme “Celebrating Malaysia Truly Asia”, aims at attracting 28 million international tourists in 2014.
The roadshow is a good opportunity for travelers who are interested in discovering the beauty of Malaysia.
VMY promotional packages at a discount rate will be available during the event.
There are 4-day-3-night packages offerings with discount to Malaysia departing from Hanoi at shocking price of $399 and from Ho Chi Minh City at $328.
The roadshow also promises to give visitors a glimpse of Malaysian culture such as Malaysian traditional cultural dances, the art of teh tarik – the charming performer with his fascinating tea-pulling style and dance moves or hand-drawn Henna by famous artists. Especially, participants will have the chance to take free souvenir photos with beautiful Malaysian girls and guys wearing exotic traditional costumes.
The year of 2013 also marks the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Malaysia. The visit expresses not only the diplomatic ties but also the bilateral cooperation between the two nations in the fields of economics, culture, and tourism.
The program is officially organized by Tourism Malaysia in Vietnam, coordinating with Embassy of Malaysia, Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Malaysia Business Chamber, Vietnam’s Association of Foreign Invested Enterprises and national carriers Malaysia Airlines and Vietnam Airlines.
