According to a report sent by Dinh La Thang, Minister of Transport, to the National Assembly, the Ministry has collected VND1.4 trillion (US$66.74 million) in road maintenance fee in April.
A toll station on HCMC-Trung Luong Expressway (Photo: SGGP) Collection of road maintenance fee began on January 1 this year, and now the Ministry has submitted to the Prime Minister suggestions on various measures to organise toll stations to collect the road maintenance fee more efficiently.
The report also said that the number of traffic accidents had been reduced, but the death toll had increased slightly in the first four months of the year.
Specifically, the country recorded 9,643 traffic accidents which killed 3,364 people in the first four months, an increase of 0.36 percent over the same period last year.
