Over 1,400 HIV-infected people get stable jobs

(CPV) – On June 25, the Vietnam Administration of HIV/AIDS Control (VAAC) said that over five years of implementation, the project on supporting employment and HIV prevention for those at high risk in Vietnam funded, by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), has helped more than 1,400 people living with or affected by HIV find stable jobs.


With the support of the project, 220 people living with or affected by HIV have been granted loans totalling over USD100,000. The project has also expanded workplace-based HIV prevention activities to 118 enterprises in eight provinces and cities of An Giang, Can Tho, Dien Bien, Hai Phong, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Nghe An and Quang Ninh, with over 100,000 people trained on HIV prevention./.
