The 14th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business

(VEN) – The 14th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business (APK) will take place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from November 21-22, 2014.







The APK is a platform for the exchange of ideas among companies and decision makers in Asia. This event has been organized biannually in Asia since 1986 and has evolved into one of the largest networking events in the region attracting both political and business leaders.


As one of the most important business partners of Germany in the region, Vietnam will host the 14th APK in November 2014. Thanks to the country’s fast growing economy and geographical advantages, Vietnam has attracted an increasing number of German investors in recent years. The economic relationship between Germany and Vietnam has experienced rapid growth shown by the total bilateral trade value of EUR7.05 billion in 2012, of which German exports to Vietnam increased by 27.7 percent to reach EUR5.11 billion, and German imports from Vietnam grew by 9.9 percent to EUR1.94 billion.


The APK offers a great opportunity to strengthen the business relationship between Germany and Vietnam. It is a chance for both Vietnamese and German companies to explore investment opportunities, discuss cooperation potentials and exchange business experiences.


Participants in the APK include representatives of the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce network as well as political leaders, business executives from many countries.


The APK organizers are the German Chambers of Commerce abroad (AHKs), the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business (APA) as well as the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) of Germany. The Asia-Pacific Committee is supported by the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), the German Asia-Pacific Business Association (OAV), the Federation of German Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services (BGA) and the Association of German Banks (BdB).
