(VOVowrld) – The Vietnam Cultural Days in Venice has started with a photo exhibition on Italy-Vietnam solidarity from the 1960s to the 1970s. Addressing the opening ceremony in Sala Leonardo building in Venice on Friday night, Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son said the diplomatic ties between the two countries have been developing over the past 40 years. He added the Vietnam Cultural Days in Venice will help contribute to furthering bilateral ties. Venice Mayor Giorgio Orsoni said Italy and Venice in particularly always supports Vietnam and are keen on the country’s economic development.
Meanwhile, a series of prominent Vietnamese films produced between 2000 and 2010 will be shown in Italy during Vietnam Cultural Days in Venice from June 7-21. The film screenings are organized by the Vietnam Cinematography Department in coordination with the Vietnamese embassy in Italy.
