On June 19, the organizing board of the 12thParis Tropical Carnival held a conference to officially announce its opening, in which Vietnam is one of five countries invited to join the carnival.

(Photo: vov.vn) Vietnam will bring performances by the members of the Union of Vietnamese Youth in France (UJVF) and the Vietnamese Student Union Association in France (UEVF), chaired by the Union of Vietnamese Associations in France (UGVF) and supported by the Embassy of Vietnam in France.
The Vietnam delegation will parade a 4.5 km route along with delegations from foreign countries and the regions of France. About 2,000 singers, dancers and musicians wearing colourful costumes will gather and make their way through the streets of Paris on foot or aboard decorated floats.
A highlight of the Vietnamese delegation will be a lotus-shaped vehicle carrying the “Queen” character, also the choir leader cast by Miss Xuan 2012 Vo Hong Quan.
The Paris Tropical Carnival is an annual cultural activity held by the Paris City Hall, in collaboration with the Tropical Carnival Federation (FCT) for over eleven years and growing every year, the carnival is a wonderful celebration of cultural diversity, peace and freedom.
The festival is expected to attract the participation of over 4,000 performing artists and about 200,000 locals and visitors lining the route to cheer them on and soak up the electric atmosphere. Music will of course be everywhere, with groups from all over the world singing and dancing throughout the parade./.
