34 people hospitalised with food poisoning

Thirty-four people were taken to a hospital in Binh Thuan Province’s Phan Thiet City for food poisoning last Sunday and discharged in the late afternoon.


The Mui Ne General Hospital said the people suffered from diarrhoea and stomach pain. All of the patients work at BIC Company under the Bank for Investment and Development of Viet Nam.


They were taking a holiday at Mui Ne Bay Resort, which paid for all the hospital fees.

Nearly 10,000 enterprises resume operations


In the first seven months of the year, nearly 10,000 enterprises which had suspended operations began working again, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.


The number of newly established enterprises rose by 7.6 per cent compared to the same period last year, and the number of enterprises that went bankrupt rose by 0.9 per cent compared to the same period of last year.

Focus on congestion in flooded streets


The HCM City Department of Transport has asked urban traffic centres to develop new methods to solve traffic congestion on flooded streets.


Currently, the city has 18 street that are regularly flooded after heavy rains. They include the section of Tan Hoa Dong Street between An Duong Vuong Street and 241 alley in District 6 and the section of Duong Tu Giang Street between Trang Tu Street and Tran Hung Dao Street.
