BIDV will set up a team of specialists to provide services for Japanese enterprises in Vietnam. The services include credit, depositing, payment, cash management and trade finance.
BIDV general director Pham Duc Tu said that this team is expected to meet financial service demands of around 2,000 Japanese SMEs in Vietnam.
However, both sides have yet to discuss the loan JBIC will lend BIDV to carry out this program.
The Japanese government initiated the program of giving supports to SMEs in late 2010 and assigned JBIC to coordinate financial service demands through local banks in Asia. JBIC has picked BIDV as its partner in Vietnam.
