The animal feed maker last Saturday organized the Cargill Cares 2013 program and raised the VND10.5 billion from benefactors, partners and company employees to build new schools in remote areas.

So far, Cargill Vietnam has built 60 schools in Vietnam to serve 12,000 students. According to Chanh Truong, chief representative of Cargill Vietnam, the company targets to create 75 schools by 2015.

In 1996, the U.S.-based Cargill Group invested in Vietnam with eight factories manufacturing animal feed nationwide.
