Themed “Fire and Water”, the event provides a good opportunity for Vietnam to introduce the country’s people, landscape and culture to international friends and to strengthen friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Germany, said Nguyen Quoc Hung, Director of Thang Long Business Association and head of the organising board.
The two-week festival will include traditional music and dance and martial art performances, an Ao Dai (traditional long dress) fashion show, a food festival and a poetry exhibition featuring pieces composed during the the Ly and Tran dynasties and translated by Dr. Frank Gerke.
Also at the festival, six stalls at an exhibition hall will introduce Vietnam’s unique art, handicraft products and souvenirs.
At the press conference, businesses committed EUR10,000 to the organizing board to host the event.
