Receiving Kim Young Mok, President of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), in Hanoi on July 12, Deputy PM Nhan noted that many high-quality colleges have been established with the assistance of KOICA.

He voiced his hope that Vietnam and the RoK will expand their cooperation. Vietnam can then supply adequate human resources in sectors that RoK businesses are in need of, meeting their personnel requirements.

Kim Young Mok said his agency is interested in supporting the common development of both countries. He noted that KOICA is now supplying ODA to many countries, among which Vietnam has used the assistance effectively.

He also affirmed that KOICA will continue helping Vietnam build a green economy, while assisting the country in constructing a science and technology research institute following the model of a similar institute in the RoK.

At the same time as realising the significance of human resources, Kim Young Mok said his agency will focus on supporting the development of Vietnam’s education and training sector.
