Officer returns stolen papers to owner

PANO – Major Phan Hong Phong, officer of the Political Department under the Hung Yen provincial Command, has returned personal papers to a worker at a local textile and garment company.


At 5am on June 28th, while taking morning exercise, Major Phong found a purse on Yet Kieu street, An Tao precinct, Hung Yen city. Immediately, he and other people around the scene verified the lost property.

The purse included a motorbike registration certificate, a driving license, a health insurance and other papers of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Luan, born in 1985, in Nhat Tan commune, Tien Lu district, Hung Yen province, an employee at the Thien Ha Textile and Garment Company in An Tao precinct.


Phong asked his friends in the precinct to find the purse’s owner.


The same day, his comrade Major Tran Hung Manh in the Staff of the Command informed the owner’s father, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Canh, who is working at the Nhat Tan commune People’s Committee, to receive the lost property from Major Phong. Canh said that on June 26th, a pickpocket stole his daughter’s purse.


After receiving the purse, Canh sent a letter to thank Phong and officers in the Hung Yen provincial Command.
