(VOVworld) – A delegation of volunteers from the central province of Quang Ngai began charitable program in Champasak province of Laos on Saturday.
The volunteers of Quang Ngai province’s Youth Union depart for Lao on July 5 (photo: baoquangngai.com.vn) Quang Ngai province’s Youth Union will give Champasak province’s Youth Union 20 computers and offer free medical check-ups and medicines to 1,000 people in Champasak and Khammuon provinces. They will also grant 100 scholarships to poor and studious students and trained young local people on computer skills.
Ha Thi Anh Thu, Secretary of Quang Ngai province’s Youth Union, says: “We’ll have necessary activities to assist people in Champasak and Khammuon provinces, and Vientiane. We’ll present gifts to social beneficiary families and disadvantaged children, and give computers to the local Youth Union. An investment promotion for small and medium sized enterprises will also be held.”
The 6-day charitable program has realized commitments between the Vietnam Youth Union and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union on strengthening mutual unity and friendship.
