The Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Council, by the official document, has recently agreed to support the 2013 working capital to Quang Ngai fishermen support Fund (FSF) with the amount of VND 7 billion.
Accordingly, the Fund was requested to be responsible for management and use of the above-said funding in accordance with the law.
Quang Ngai FSF was established in August 2011 with the donations from the state agencies, organizations, entrepreneurs, communities and individuals at home and abroad, aiming to provide insurance for fishing boats to minimize risks of natural disasters, sudden accidents and foreign invasion when they work in the East Sea.
Reportedly, more than 2 years after its establishment, the Fund has received nearly VND 10 billion from benefactors and also helped many fishermen, boat owners overcome difficulties to restore the production and stable their lives.
