(VOVworld) – 200outstanding young Vietnamese living in 24 foreign countries havereturned to their homeland for Vietnam Summer Camp 2013. Nguyen Thanh Son, Deputy Foreign Minister and Head of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, said this year’s camp, themed “10 years – the call of the Homeland”, marks the 68th anniversary of the August Revolution, the 66th War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, and 10 years of the Vietnam Summer Camp. The camp aims to help young overseas Vietnamese understand the history and culture of their homeland, and strengthen their attachment to their country.

The opening ceremony will be held in Ha Giang province and the closing ceremony will take place in Ca Mau province. Participants will attend an incense offering at the Hung Kings Temple in Phu Tho province, visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi, and attend exchange programs with youngsters from other provinces.
