(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has updated international scholars with the latest information on Vietnam’s situation, achievements, and difficulties. At the annual Vietnam Executive Leadership Programme at Harvard University in the US state of Massachusetts, Mr. Phuc also briefed participants on Vietnam’s current development priorities.
Started in 2008, the VELP is an exchange programme organized by Harvard under the auspices of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in line with the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry. Participants discussed many issues including identifying Vietnam’s position in the world and regional context through global economic links, opportunities, challenges, and missions faced by Vietnam towards successfully implementing its reforms and economic restructuring programs. Participants also made several recommendations for Vietnam’s policies.
As part of the program that concluded on Friday, Deputy Prime Minister Phuc visited and learned the management model of the state of Massachusetts and the Omni Parker House where President Ho Chi Minh used to live and work from 1911 to 1913.
