The provincial leader delegation led by Vice Chairman Dinh Thi Loan on 28 August worked with Ba To district authority on the implementation of program, projects and on the ethnic and mountainous policies in 8 months of 2013.
As reported, in 2013, the district has been allocated VND 10.2 billion to invest 21 new construction projects and maintain 09 works. So far, 21 projects have been approved to make new technical economic reports; the disbursement rate reached more than VND 3.6 billion, accounting for 34.93 % plan.
For policies to support housing for the poor under the Decision 167, in 2012, the district was allocated VND 14.2 billion to build 592 households; up to the present time, 397 houses are newly built.
In 2012, the district invested more than VND 6.9 billion to displace 49 households in Ba Bich communal area because of the high risk of landslides.
Besides the results achieved, Ba To district still exists some shortcomings on the process of planning, the construction investment settlement, the slow rate of disbursement.
Madam Loan requested the Ba To DPC to direct the relevant agencies to expeditiously implement the support policies for ethnic minorities in the area, to focus on implementation and disbursement of program and projects.
She also asked the district to strengthen the inspection in the mountain landslide areas and resettlement areas to ensure the safety of local people in the coming rainy season.
After meeting with the Ba To DPC, Madam Loan paid a field survey to some projects in Ba Giang commune, Ba To.
