The Steering Committee and Organization Board of the Central Highlands-Da Lat National Tourism Year 2014 has announced 43 major events that will take place in Lam Dong and other provinces in the region throughout the following year.

The national event themed ‘Dai Ngan Tay Nguyen’ (High Mountains, Thick Forests of Central Highlands) will introduce to local and international visitors activities such as Art Brocade Festival; Central Highlands Fashion Show; Street Art Festival; Traditional Music Performances; Central Highlands Food Fair; International Gong Festival; Vietnam-ASEAN UNESCO Heritage Festival 2013; Highland Wood Statue Festival; Elephant Race; Boat Race; and several Folk Games.
On the occasion, travel businesses will introduce to visitors various tours on wildlife and nature, beautiful landscapes and cultural characteristics of ethnic groups living in the highland regions.
Tourism managers and travel enterprises said that central highland provinces should join hands to offer regional products to domestic and international visitors, offer wildlife, nature and landscape destinations, and show the daily activities of the local people.
National Tourism Year is being co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and provincial authorities of Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Gia Lai and Kon Tum.
