​Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company (QSC) increased its share capital from 50 billion VND in 2005, the year of privatization, up to over 1.5 trillion in 2012, the QSC’s General Director Mr. Võ Thành Đàng said, adding that the company’s year-on-year revenue rose 35 percent, and it earned 50 percent of profit annually.​


The statement was made by Mr. Dang in his meeting with the top leader of Quang Ngai provincial people’s committee Mr. Cao Khoa and his partners last Friday, August 9


After the newly-built large-scale heavy industry plants in Dung Quat Economic Zone, QNS locating in Quang Phu Ward, Quang Ngai City has been the province’s top company in field of confectionary, drinks, and one of the 500 leading businesses of Viet Nam.


As reported, in the first six months of the year, QSC’s revenue was over 3 trillion VND, an increase of 24 percent compared with that in the same period of last year. Of those, the significant increased products were sugar (up 85%), mineral water (up 26%), Vinasoy milk (up 26 %) and beer (up 9%).


With the beginning factory of sugar, QNS – after seven years of operation – has opened 13 other factories under effective operation such as Dung Quat Brewery, Candy and Biscuit Factory, Thach Bich Mineral Water Factory, and Vietnam Soya Milk Factory. Their products have been not only supplied to most domestic markets but also exported to foreign countries.


Particularly, the company spent over 100 billion VND on expanding processing lines of Dung Quat Brewery from 50 to 100 million litters per year. Recently, the construction of second Soya Milk Factory has started in Bac Ninh, once accomplished, it will be the world’s top five largest Soya milk plant, supplying the market one billion bottles per year. The new plant aims to meet the soy milk demand of the northern market as well as creates jobs for over 200 people.


The effective business of QNS was highly appreciated by Chairman Cao Khoa in the meeting “the company has been partly contributing to provincial socio-development, not only creating good stable income for provincial budget but also providing thousands of jobs for local people.


The chairman advised QNS to make suitable and effective business strategy, expand markets, increase advertisement for their products, and plan stable raw material areas.


Mr Khoa reminded company to be responsible for workers and to kick off charity activities in the province.
