Nearly 400 businesses from 44 localities nationwide have participated in the 2013 travel demand stimulus programme as of August 11, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).

Nearly 400 businesses from 44 localities nationwide have participated in the 2013 travel demand stimulus programme as of August 11, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).
VNAT recently sent a document to people’s committees of provinces and cities to urge the implementation of the travel demand stimulus programme by the end of 2013.
In addition, VNAT asked relevant agencies, historical relics and tourism areas not to raise visiting entry fees. Localities recently lifting visitor entry fees for some destinations were directed to delay the application until the end of the year.
According to the agency, working delegations will be sent to major localities to investigate the implementation of the travel stimulus programme./.
