HA NOI – (VNS) Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuc will be Viet Nam’s sole representative at the World Athletics Championships which started on Saturday in Moscow, Russia.
The Asian Games silver medallist will compete in tomorrow’s women’s 20km walk event.
Although likely to face tough competition from the world’s leading athletes, Phuc has set a target of beating her personal best of 1hr 33.36min set at the London Olympics last August.-VNS
