(VOV) -The 7th World Shuttlecock Championship (WSC) kicked off in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap on September 2.
This year’s tournament attracted 104 athletes from 13 countries and territories around the world, including Australia, China, Taiwan (China), Italy, India, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Singapore, Macau (China), Hong Kong (China), and the host Vietnam.
The athletes were competing in singles, doubles and team events for both men and women under the guidance of 33 referees.
During the tournament, which will last through to September 5, a number of cultural and art events will take place, such as a photographic exhibition on lotus, a cultural exchange, and a music and dance performance.
