VGP – Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai on Wednesday met with Italian Minister of Economic Development Flavio Zanonato as part of his official visit to the European country.

The Deputy PM urged the two countries to take concrete steps to realize the strategic partnership, particularly in economic sphere. Both sides need to quickly establish a joint committee on economic cooperation coordinated by the two economic ministers.
He asked the Italian side to study the possibility of co-implementing public-private partnership projects in infrastructure in Viet Nam.
Italian Government always attaches importance to the relations with Viet Nam, considering the country as a gateway to Asian markets, said Minister Flavio Zanonato.
Mr. Flavio Zanonato affirmed that his country will actively implement reached agreements and send more business delegations to seek opportunities in Viet Nam.
Italy supports Viet Nam to enhance closer ties with the European Union, especially the on-going negotiation of a free trade agreement between the two sides.
According to the host, Italy will also consider the construction of centralized industrial parks for Italian businesses in Viet Nam.
The same day, Deputy PM Hai began official visit to Belgium and the European Union./.
