An exhibition on Japanese history and culture will take place at the Vietnam National Museum of History at 25 Tong Dan street, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi from January to March 2014.
This activity is held to mark the 40th anniversary of Vietnam – Japan diplomatic ties.
2013 is defined as the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Year with diverse activities. At present, Vietnamese Days in Japan 2013 is being held in five cities, including Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, Nagoya and Fukuoka, by the Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and representatives from Vietnam and Japanese partners.
Diverse activities to promote economic cooperation and popularize culture such as cultural festivals, seminars to promote commerce, investment, science and technology, tourism and art performances, are being held during the event with the participation of representatives of the Government, localities, enterprises, Vietnamese artists and Japanese friends.
Together with the events during the Vietnamese Days in Japan 2013, the exhibition on Japanese culture and history will be a practical activity, contributing to cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.
Earlier, on September 11, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, issued Decision 3126/QĐ-BVHTTDL to allow the Vietnam National Museum of History to coordinate with Japan’s Kyushu National Museum to organize an exhibition on Japanese culture and history in Vietnam to introduce Japanese cultural heritage to Vietnamese people./.
