PANO – 200 needy children, orphans, ethnic children and children being cared in social support centers in Khanh Hoa province took part in a Mid-autumn Festival organised by the provincial Department of Labour, War invalids and Social Affairs on September 14th at the provincial Social Support Center.
After listening to the letter and best wishes from the State President sent to Vietnamese children, participants enjoyed folk games, such as lion dance, procession of star-shaped lanterns, singing, and a party with moon cakes and fruits. 200 gifts were also presented to the participating children by leaders of the province and provincial departments at the festival.
On the occasion, the provincial Department of Labour, War invalids and Social Affairs sent gifts to children on Song Tu Tay, Sinh Ton and Truong Sa Lon islands to enable children there to have an joyful mid-autumn festival.
Trinh Thi Hop, Deputy Chairwoman of the department said that during this year’s festival, many organizations have visited and presented gifts to children in SOS children’s village in Nha Trang City and other children care centers. The province has worked with organizations to organise entertainment activities for and hand over gifts to children.
