International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh city 2013 (ITE HCMC 2013) will be held from September 12 to 14 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre, said its organising board in a press briefing on September 9.
This is the 9th annual event held by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to present a platform for both local and international travel and tourism organizations to collaborate and discuss inbound and outbound tourism.
With consensus among the countries of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam, the message “Five Countries, One Single Destination” symbolizes the connection, and enhancement of cooperation and development in the tourism sector of the countries.
More than 300 international tour organizers from 17 countries and territories, such as Cambodia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Taiwan (China), Thailand, the Netherlands, England and Germany, are expected to attract 18,000 visitors.
On the sideline of the event, there will be series of important activities, including the first ACMECS Tourism Ministerial Conference, the second meeting of Mekong Sub-regional tourism cities’ mayors and the Vietnam – Russia tourism development and cooperation meeting./.
