VGP – The Ministry of Planning and Investment will coordinate with other relevant agencies in preparing national commitments to the 9th package on service which is part of the ASEAN Frame Agreement on Services (AFAS).
Itwill report the results to the PM in October.
The AFAS, signed on February 15, 1995, aims to strengthen cooperation in services between member countries to increase the competitiveness, diversify capacity and production, provide and distribute services of providers in and outside ASEAN as well as abolish limitations on commercial services between member countries.
ASEAN members will negotiate 11 packages on services till 2015./.
