Di vao nghien cuu khoa hoc (Into Scientific Research) by Nguyen Van Tuan, a contributor of the Saigon Times Group, published by Saigon Times Books and HCMC Tong Hop Publishing House was named best educational book.
Chuyen nganh co khi (Mechanical Engineering) translated by the Saigon Times Foundation and a group of Vietnamese-German translators, published by Youth Publishing House was named in the new discovery criteria. This is also one of the best-selling vocational books by German-based Europa – Lehrmittel.
This year’s awards themed Sach va khai minh (Books and enlightenment) also honored other translated and non-fiction books in five criteria – research, literature, economics, management and children.
Other honored titles were Bao cao thuong nien kinh te Vietnam 2012: Doi dien thach thuc tai co cau kinh te (Vietnam’s annual economic report in 2012: a challenge for economic restructuring) by VEPR experts, Thai Ha and Hanoi National University publishing houses and Bien va chim boi ca (the sea and the kingfisher) by author Bui Ngoc Tan, and Nha Nam and Vietnam Writers’ Association publishing houses.
