After more than a year after the introduction of the Mobilizing Board for founding Phu Yen tourism association, so far, 57 enterprises and individuals have singed in the application forms for participating. This is the very respectful result, and it’s necessary to develop the strength of the associations, orientating toward the target of Phu Yen tourism development.

the national tourism year for the central south coastal region-Phu Yen 2011 has brought about the fresh vitality to the province’s tourism sector. from the event, in the province there have been fairly a lot of enterprises in tourism, travel hotels, basically meeting the demand of traveling, entertaining and accommodating of tourists from in and outside the province. nevertheless, Phu Yen tourism enterprises inevitably face the fiercer competition on tourism market whereas infrastructure and tourism foundations are fairly low, with monotonous tourism products, the competition and linking competence among the enterprises is weak, so is the task of propagating and advertising for tourism; the human resources for tourism development hasn’t yet met the demands…, which is the great obstacle for the sustainable development in tourism sector. to solve the above-mentioned difficulties, the demand for establishing the provincial tourism association is urgent.
In July, 2012, the department of culture-sports-tourism decided to establish the mobilizing board for Phu Yen tourism association. After one year of mobilization, so far, 40 enterprises and 17 individuals have become members, the PPC has approved the establishment of Phu Yen province tourism association, the first great assembly has been held to the right procedures. Mr. Ngo Quang Dinh, director of Young Advertising Company cum general secretary of Phu Yen Enterprise Association, head of the mobilizing board, let known: the fact is joining the association is the real demand of the tourism enterprises. When the advocacy of establishing Phu Yen tourism association was introduced, the department of culture-sports-tourism set up the mobilizing board as a bridge, and this is really appealing to the enterprises doing tourism business and the individuals being heartfelt with tourism sector. Mr. Trinh Quang Bao, deputy general director of Viet Star tourism company Ltd., shared, “For ages, the tourism enterprises have been doing the business by themselves in a spontaneous manner, lacking cooperation. Hopefully with the establishment of Phu Yen tourism association, the enterprises can share, find out a common house for those enterprises and individuals being heartfelt with tourism sector”.
Determining the role of the Tourism Association, Mr. Pham Van Bay, vice director of Phu Yen department of culture-sports-tourism asserted, “Tourism Association is the professional social organization with legal rights, operating in the tourism sector as well any sectors related to tourism. The association’s target is gathering and uniting the members for mutual support, so as to enhance the business operating, contributing to the development of the locality’s tourism sector; ensuring the customers’ rights, protect the rights and legal benefits of the members. Developing the functions in an efficient way, the association will bring about considerable benefits, being the connecting bridge among the members; also, the Association will be the forum for exchanging information between the enterprises and state offices, other organizations and associations, under the legal stipulations, significantly contributing to implementing the strategies for tourism development”.
