A contemporary dance troupe of disabled and non-disabled dancers of Candoco Dance Company will perform during GREAT Week.
Nhan Dan Online- Vietnamese people will have an opportunity to find out more about the British culture, education and vocational training through GREAT Week to be held in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City from September 28 to October 4, according to the British Embassy in Hanoi.
The GREAT Week schedule includes a workshop on how vocational training can contribute to development, events where British and Vietnamese businesses can share marketing experience and consider new opportunities, and a UK fashion show. These and other events offer Vietnam-based businesses the chance to learn more about UK products and services in the creative industries, ranging from advertising and architecture to fashion, film, food and drink.
On the occasion, Candoco Dance Company, a contemporary dance troupe of disabled and non-disabled dancers, will perform, and the UK film festival will spotlight British humour at screenings in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, HCM City and Can Tho. A Fun Run and an Inter-Company Football Tournament will kick off the Week.
Of the event, UK Ambassador to Vietnam Dr Antony Stokes said: “We hope that GREAT week will give UK companies the opportunity to meet potential partners in Vietnam and forge relationships with will contribute to the development of both Vietnam and the UK’s prosperity. ”
GREAT week is one of a number of events to celebrate the 40th anniversary of UK-Vietnam diplomatic relations.
