The ecological tourism area of Vam Sat mangrove forest, situated just 60 kilometres from Ho Chi Minh city centre, covers over 1,500 hectares and belongs to the natural conservation area of Can Gio mangrove forest, Ho Chi Minh city.


It has been recognised by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) as one of two world class sustainable eco-tourism developments.


It is home to diverse species of birds, including many precious species listed in the world red book.


Each year, the tourism site attracts some 15,000 domestic and foreign tourists.
