Bilateral cooperation mechanisms have proved successful, and the two countries’ leaders feel it’s time to bring bilateral relationship to a strategic partnership level to deepen cooperation, said Dung.

He said despite limited financial capacity, Vietnam pays due attention to upgrading the residence for diplomatic Vietnamese missions in France, testifying to its desire to boost cooperation with this European Union nation.

He asked Vietnamese expatriates in France to unite, provide mutual support, preserve national cultural identity and help bridge friendship between the two nations.

PM Dung laid a wreath at President Ho Chi Minh Monument and visited Ho Chi Minh Space at Montreau Park in Montreuil city.

In the evening, he is scheduled to visit and deliver a speech at the French Institute of International Relations and meet with several French officials.
