Three Vietnamese fashion designers, Minh Hanh, Cong Khanh and Trong Nguyen, have had hundreds of their Ao Dai (traditional long dress) shown at the ancient Chambord Castle in France on September 7.

Sixty designs titled “phoenix flying to the sun” were by designer Minh Manh. She used Vietnamese material such as handmade lace of Hanoian people, hand-woven linen of Hmong ethnic people (Ha Giang) and crocodile skin of Ton Phat – Cu Chi.

The samples of young designer Nguyen Trong Nguyen were inspired by the patterns of the Renaissance in the well-known paintings displayed at Chambord.

His samples were made in metallic fabric with three main colors: black, white and red, combined with advanced transition techniques.

The samples of designer Cong Khanh were made based on cubic architecture and the true images of the castle.

The professional French and Vietnamese models included Miss Ngoc Han, Kha My Van, Hong Que, Lam Thu Hang and Trang Pham.
