— Tens of thousands of Vietnamese people have been in long queues to wait for their turn to burn incenses for the deceased general Vo Nguyen Giap at the building located at 30 Hoang Dieu Street, Hanoi; and at his home village An Xa in Le Thuy District, Quang Binh Province in the central region.
— General Vo Nguyen Giap, who died on October 4 in an army hospital in Hanoi, will be buried at Vung Chua – Dao Yen in Quang Dong Commune, Quang Trach District, Quang Binh Province.’
— Locals in districts Son Ha and Son Tay of the central province of Quang Ngai have protested the plan to build a hydroelectricity plant that will erase the whole protective forest Thach Nam in the localities.
— The Vietnam’s central government has recently issued a decree to allow owners to bail out their vehicles being seized for violations.
— Ho Chi Minh City will invest VND757 billion (US$36.4 million) to build a flyover at the Bon Xa (Four communes) crossroads in Binh Tan District.

— The Ministry of Finance has instructed petroleum trading companies to decrease fuel price at least 387 dong per liter as of 8:00pm yesterday. So, petrol A82 is priced 23,880 dong a liter. The prices of diesel, kerosene and mazut oil remain unchanged.
— Inspectors’ team at the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) has found out that EVN made illogical investment as buying cars and building villas and tennis court, and all the costs are charged on the price of electricity sales. As of 2008, EVN has increased the electricity price seven times.
— Industry and Trade Minister Vu Huy Hoang announced that Vietnam’s negotiations for TPP have taken place smoothly and expects that the job will complete by the end of this year.
