The restaurant prides itself on its high-quality food, talented and young, passionate and thoughtful service staff who have been carefully trained to satisfy even the most fastidious guests. That is down to owner Nguyen Sanh Nhon, a Binh Dinh native, who is a self-made who has become a successful entrepreneur after spending some time studying in Australia. He opened a humble food stall named Tu Tri with only two tables serving chevon hot pot. The stall, with its distinctive flavours, attracted many locals. Since then, he has expanded the Tu Tri brand across Saigon.
With 20 years experience in the industry, under his direction Sesan has earned a fine reputation and it delivers as its a-la-carte and Dim Sum dishes hit the mark. However, I can wholly recommend its evening buffet.
The price of buffet is VND320,000 per person which is the bargain of the century when you see what is on offer. You have your choice of salads, summer rolls with pork and shrimp, seafood and cashew spring rolls, fried vegetables and oyster sauce, sea crab rolls, oyster rice soup, crab meat soup, grilled apple snail with black pepper, steamed clam with citronella, Peking pork, Vietnamese beef stew, Sesan-style seafood fried rice, Singapore style rice vermicelli, Hanoi dill-turmeric fish, angelfish, grilled shrimp, octopus, okra, blue boon fish, cuttle-fish, grilled shrimp and steamed crab among dozens more selections. If you have any room after even a little of that lot, there is a huge selection of desserts and fruit.
