PANO – The General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army on December 10th held a meeting with representatives of units and localities in the South on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of its traditional day.

Senior Lieutenant General Ngo Xuan Lich, the general department’s Director briefed the participants on the building, combat and development of the General Department of Politics over the past 70 years. It has instructed all units in the whole army to strictly carry out the Party’s guidelines and the Central Military Commission’s instructions and resolutions, well-carried out staff work for the Party and State; paid attention to building the army with political, ideological and organizational strength, proactively fought wrongful ideas and raised officers’ and troops’ firm political stance, and promoted the virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers to fulfil all the tasks assignedby the Party, State and people.
Under the guidance and assistance of the Party, State, local party committees, local authorities, armed forces, the General Department of Politics have made glorious feats of arms which were acknowledged with the Party’ and State’s noble awards.
On the occasion, the Director of the General Department of Politics sincerely thanked localities and units for their valuable supports over the past years and informed the participants of the celebration activities nationwide.
