PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Cung, Deputy Minister of National Defence, on December 19thchaired a meeting to review activities to celebrate the 70th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 25th anniversary of the whole people’s defence day (December 22nd).

Since August, there have been more than 4,700 articles, photos, and many state-level workshops and communication programs focusing on the celebration of these big events. Emulation movements, exhibitions, arts, sports, and gratitude activities have been enhanced, creating better social effects in honoring Uncle Ho’s soldiers.
Preparations for the celebration are expected to be completed for the main celebration ceremony in Hanoi on December 20th, exhibitions, fairs, meetings, and activities including the Across-Vietnam Cycling Tournament – Vietnam Defence Cup 2014.
General Cung also asked military press agencies to continue to promote dissemination activities on the Vietnam People’s Army and the people’s armed forces on this occasion.
