Exhibition on Vietnam-Russia ties

(VOV) -As many as 40 publications including photos, poems and articles of Vietnamese and Russian authors have been displayed at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture (RCSC) in Hanoi.



The two-day event, co-organized by the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association, and the Vietnam-Russia Literature Fund, is in celebration of the founding anniversary of RCSC.


Addressing the opening ceremony on October 24, Vietnam’s writer and translator Hoang Thuy Toan, Director of the East-West Culture-Language Centre of Vietnam, said that the exhibition highlight the long-lasting relations between Vietnam and Russia from wartime to peacetime.


“All my youth, love, and career started in Russia”, he said. “Kind-hearted Russian friends taught me how to live with honesty, kindness and enthusiasm. Especially the Russian language has opened a new horizon for me to bring the quintessence of world culture and literature to Vietnam” . Toan expressed his hope that young generation will preserve and develop such wonderful feelings.


For his part, Director RCSC Alexey Yu. Lavrenev emphasized that the two countries will continue to consolidate and expand the Russian-Vietnamese friendship in the future.
