In the morning of October 04, Vice Chairwoman of the PPC Dinh Thi Loan chaired the annual meeting of Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), fiscal year 1012-2013.
Reported by the Department of Foreign Affair (DOFA), in fiscal year 2012-2013, 28 NGOs has assisted Quang Ngai more than VND 128 billion to implement 78 programs and projects in the province.
The fund is to be used for sectors of healthcare, education, clean water and environment sanitation, rural agricultural development, socio-economic development supports, schools construction supports, etc.
Plan International is a first long-term donor in Quang Ngai. In 2012 and the first nine months of 2013, Plan donated a total capital of nearly VND 18 billion for projects and programs of environment sanitation, socio-economic development and poverty reduction, and community development in Son Ha, Son Tinh, and Ba To districts.
World Vision International, in 2012-1013, supported Quang Ngai more than VND 44 billion to develop areas of Tra Bong, Son Tay and Minh Long district.
At the meeting, Loan affirmed that NGOs had been contributing to the provincial socio-economic development over time, and this annual meeting was a change to strengthen further cooperation between localities and donors.
Madam Loan also asked departments, agencies and localities to work closely with NGOs in order to implement projects and programs effectively.
