The paintings depict portraits of children of different ages, coming from the city or the countryside and living under different circumstances.
“Kids not only inspire me to make arts but also to feel life is beautiful, peaceful, lovely and worthy to live,” says Hien.
To Hien, despite different conditions and fates, children are innocent and deserve to be loved. “Children remind me of my childhood. I have met them in many places so each work is about a single life and a single fate,” Hien notes.
The show runs until October 10 at the museum, 97 Pho Duc Chinh Street in downtown HCMC.
