At an October 25 reception for E. Shvydkoi, the Russian President’s envoy for international cultural ties in Hanoi, President Sang described his visit in preparation for the upcoming official visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin as a significant event of bilateral relations.
Expressing his delight at the constant development in economic and cultural cooperation, President Sang said the two sides should work hand in hand to promote their cultural exchanges.
They need to work out an annual plan to make their cooperation more substantial and effective, he said, noting that he agreed on the initiative to increase press cooperation between the two countries and applauded the effective cooperation between Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and Russia’s ITAR-TASS over the years.
For his part, the Russian envoy said he believes that the Russian President’s forthcoming visit will help bolster cooperation ties between the two nations.
The Russian delegates also expressed their wish to have more media cooperation opportunities between the countries to strengthen the two peoples’ mutual understanding and friendship.
