The Scientific Union for Sustainable Tourism Development (STDe) hosted a seminar called “Vietnam – Destination for Water Tourism” in Hanoi on September 28, 213 introducing the potential for developing water tourism in Vietnam. The event was attended by tourism authorities from Hanoi and Ha Nam province, representatives from the Hanoi Tourism Association, tourism scientists and businesses in Hanoi.
The seminar aimed to introduce the potential for developing water tourism in Vietnam, give visitors the satisfaction during the vacation, help increase revenue for businesses, contribute to creating a better life for the people, and limit the impact on the environment.
It regards water as one of the tourism sector’s most precious resources, and with proper management, water tourism can deliver many benefits to both local communities and the nation as a whole.
At the event, 100 students at Hanoi Construction University were warded for their contribution to developing ‘water tourism’ products to promote Vietnam’s tourism values.
