The basic targets for 2014 include 7 – 7.5% of economic growth, 14 – 15% of export increase, VND5,234 billion of inland budget revenue, etc.

The Hai Duong provincial People’s Council’s Economy and Budget Board on 22 November oversaw the assessment of the results of socio-economic development in 2013 and the making of plans for socio-economic development and detailed allocation of capital construction investment in 2014 at the provincial Department of Planning and Investment.

After hearing the Department of Planning and Investment’s reports, the supervision team asserted that there have been many positive changes in the province’s socio-economic situation this year despite many remaining difficulties.

Important indicators such as economic growth, budget revenue, export, employment, etc. were expected to be achieved with good results.

On the other hand, there remain a number of difficulties requiring concentrated settlement, such as the decline of total social investment; low revenue from land use; limitations in environmental protection, management and exploitation of natural resources, minerals, land, and prices, and provision of jobs for laborers, etc.

The basic targets for 2014 include 7 – 7.5% of economic growth, 14 – 15% of export increase, VND5,234 billion of inland budget revenue, additional 1% of poverty reduction, jobs for 32,000 laborers, etc.
