Meeting with Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on November 20, the NPC chief spoke highly of the relationship between Vietnam and India nurtured by late President Ho Chi Minh and late Indian Prime Minister G.Nehru and progress made on bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, economics and information and technology.
(VOV) -Indian President of the Indian National Congress Party (NCP) Sonia Gandhi has expressed her Party’s desire to further ties with the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and promote exchanges between the two Parties’ organizations.
For his part, Party leader Trong said the Vietnamese people are always grateful to Indian people for their valuable support and assistance they gave Vietnam during the past struggles for national independence and the current national construction and development.
Trong said he hopes that his visit will help deepen the Vietnam-India strategic partnership, adding fresh impetus to bilateral relations in the time ahead.
The CPV is keen to enhance its relations with all Indian political parties especially the NCP which is keeping a crucial role in the Indian Government, Trong said while suggesting the two parties should strengthen delegation exchange, share experience in Party building, management and coordination at multilateral forums of political parties.
On the occasion, Party leader Trong invited NCP President Gandhi to visit Vietnam and his invitation was accepted with pleasure.
