Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attended the third forum along with government members, well-known scientists and Nobel Prize winners. Vietnamese representatives included Nguyen Thai Phuc, general director of the Judicial Academy under the Ministry of Justice, and Dang Anh Tuan, vice president of Petroleum Management under the Petro Viet Nam Exploration Production Corporation.

The participants discussed urgent humanitarian problems in the globalising world and took part in roundtables on different topics such as humanitarian aspects of economic development and the main challenges in the 21st century.

At the end of the forum, they made a declaration that the conditions for a new level of dialogue between cultures and civilisations would be determined by the current level of development in IT, world communications and transport systems and the growing opportunities for the global mobilisation of human potential.

The forum, held from October 31 to November 1 in Baku, Azerbaijian, offered a space to exchange theoretical and practical knowledge and hold constructive debates. — VNS
